GSM dogs have a long and interesting history originating in Switzerland. They were bred as draft dogs, and if you have ever tried to hold back a Swissy from going somewhere they really want to go, you can attest to their strength. They are relatively new to the United States and even newer to the AKC but are quickly gaining popularity. Their happy-go-lucky nature mixed with their gorgeous colors and coat make them an obivous choice.
